Palisade is located along the Colorado River and I-70 corridor 12 miles east of Grand Junction. It is a small community of approximately 3000 people and sits at an elevation of 4728 feet at the base of Mt. Garfield. Palisade is known as Colorado Wine Country with over 25 wineries and is home to the famous Palisade peach. Local orchards grow a variety of fruits including peaches, cherries, apricots, and apples. Take a road ride along the Palisade Fruit and Wine route or mountain bike on the Palisade Rim trail overlooking the entire valley followed by a beverage at the Palisade Brewery or Peach Street Distillers! Off the bike, consider visiting the Blue Pig Gallery, hiking, rafting, stand-up-paddle boarding, or a round of disc golf!
