Dave Grossman took over from Kristina over the winter of 2017 when after Kristina returned to work in medicine and decided that she wanted to focus her precious free time on enjoying rides. Dave was excited by the opportunity and brings a long history of cycling in Western Colorado. Having grown up in Durango, Colorado at the dawning of mountain biking, Dave has ridden bikes on roads and trails across the region for more than 30 years. Dave is the founder and board president of the Grand Valley Trails Alliance, created the Grand Junction Off-Road mountain bike event and served as the event director for the first three years. On almost any day of the year, you can find Dave riding a trail, dirt road, winding paved road, snowy trail, or long-distance adventure on one of his trusted singlespeed bicycles or cycling steeds. A member of the Leadership Council of the Outdoor Recreation Coalition of the Grand Valley and board member of teamEMS, he works hard to lead by example and give back to his beloved community. Dave’s favorite trail is Andy’s Loop in the Grand Valley, and holds the ride from Durango to Silverton as his favorite road ride.
Kristina has been mountain biking in Western Colorado since 2001 and road riding since 2004. She founded the Grand Valley women’s riding group, Singletrack & Skinny Tire Sisters of Western Colorado, and recently stepped down after 2-1/2 years as the part-time Coordinator for the Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Trail Association, Inc. (COPMOBA), a nonprofit mountain bike advocacy group. Kristina serves on the Outdoor Recreation Coalition of the Grand Valley Leadership Council and is involved with several Western Colorado bicycle advocacy groups. She lives in Fruita with her husband, Brian, and two cats, Puddie and Guy. Kristina’s favorite mountain bike trail in the Grand Valley is Butterknife and favorite road ride is the Colorado National Monument. She recently completed the 155 mile Grin and Barrett Butt Kicker Gran Fondo, and considers it her greatest cycling achievement so far!
